Did you vote while in the military?

Tis the season, Presidential election season that is.

Here we are knee-deep in Presidential election debates, commercials and rallies. There has been a big push this election to make sure those serving in the military get to vote. Obviously, those serving overseas or stateside, out of their voting precinct, need to vote absentee.

What was your most dreaded Physical Training (P.T.) event?

Per the Army Times, the Army has recently instituted tough new standards for P.T. tests in all Army schools.  This is in line with the total number of soldiers the Army wants in uniform.  Kicking out those who fail P.T, tests is one "easy way" to reduce payroll numbers.

I remember the severe pressure there was for me to pass a P.T. test...I hated it.  You may remember my story about sit-ups in Basic Training and the trauma…

Second Time on the Honor Flight

The month of September has been a whirlwind for me.  School and teaching kept my hands more than full, the Served with Pride kit came out, and it seemed every evening was a meeting, obligation or pure exhaustion.  Oh, and my daughter Camdyn started Pre-Kindergarten and turned four years old last week.  Such is life in the fast lane, but I am glad it is October!…
