I have just added a new feature to the site, which you will see below the members area. It is History Channel's "This Day in History".
Every day it will automatically update with all sorts of unique events that took place on that date.
Today's entries include when abolitionist John Brown made his famous raid in 1859 on Harper's Ferry in present day West Virginia. In 1973 Henry Kissinger won the Nobel Peace Prize. And remember Baby Jessica who was trapped in a well, and the world watched as she was rescued? That happened this day in 1987.
Obviously, not all of the entries will be military-related, but I still think it is worth the space for the interesting events and the "oh yeah, I remember that!" moments readers will get each day.
Enjoy!
