Ah, the time for renewal is here.  The time when we can put aside all of the things we "meant" to do, wipe the slate clean and begin anew.  I am off a week or two during the holidays, and I always have a "I am going to do this, go there, visit these people" list a mile long.  Somehow the time off flies by, and all of a sudden I am back to school.

Here are some things I DID do during my time off:  Took my daughter and seven year old niece to the Columbus Zoo to see three million Christmas lights.  Cooked a big meal on Christmas Day for the Lancaster, Ohio, Police Department.  (You see, Randy Bartow, my brother in law who was killed in October, used to make them a meal each holiday.  Brother Gary and his wife Alice took care of Thanksgiving, so we did a Christmas meal.) I also cooked a huge Mexican feast four my grown step-children and families, and two days ago cooked all day and evening for my father.  Yesterday, I hosted friends and I made more food.  A diet sounds like a good idea about now....

I read a lot, researched a lot, and did take some time to relax, which I love!  Oh, last but not least Dale and I spent some time together (can't forget about the First Sergeant).  But most of all this break, I watched the Disney Channel with Camdyn, played Barbie, watched her dress up into every conceivable Disney princess, played other countless things with her and marveled at how fast she is growing.  My little girl is pretty funny, and a blast to be with...I am blessed.

Now, what do I want to do this year?  Well, personally I want to exercise more, be more organized and have more energy.  And of course spend more time with loved ones.   In a few days I will lay out my resolutions for Your Military Story.  I have some exciting ideas and I need YOUR input!

So besides sharing some memories on this website :)  what are your resolutions or goals for 2013?

His parents sent the dvd back to us--"no more".. Didn't work, he went home with it a couple days later....My resolution for 2013??---- more shooting and trying to get back where I was in 1969!!!LOL
